Its area is about 450 hectares. According to legends, in the late 11th century, this area housed the residence of his daughter, who was married to Kyiv&#8217;s Prince Sviatopolk.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"290\" data-end=\"326\">Landscape and Natural Conditions<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"328\" data-end=\"690\">The modern landscape of Trukhaniv Island is shaped by the last glaciation and the flow of the Desna and Dnipro rivers. The island is situated in the Desna Delta, where the river surrounds it on two sides. The territory features diverse natural zones, including dense forests, open spaces, and floodplain areas that change periodically due to seasonal flooding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"896\">This varied terrain creates favorable conditions for a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including species under protection. It is a popular destination among Kyiv&#8217;s cyclists for weekend rides. The northern part of the island remains a wild natural zone with dirt trails, while the southern section, beyond the Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge, features a designated cycling path. This route connects to Kyiv&#8217;s city center, leading to Khreshchatyk via the Parkovy Pedestrian Bridge.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"523\" data-end=\"542\">Tryzub Island<\/h3>\n<p>Tryzub Island is a small, uninhabited island located near Trukhaniv Island. It is part of the Desna Delta and is surrounded by the Chortoryi branch of the river. The island is covered with dense vegetation and serves as a natural habitat for birds and other wildlife. The route around it is popular for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"27\"><strong data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"25\">X-Park Sports Village<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"29\" data-end=\"122\"><a href=\"https:\/\/xpark.kyiv.ua\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X-Park<\/a> is a modern recreational complex built on the natural resources of Trukhaniv Island.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"124\" data-end=\"426\">Here, you can find a cableway for wakeboarding, <a href=\"https:\/\/supkayakclub.kiev.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kayak and SUP rentals<\/a>, as well as bike rentals. Visitors can also stay overnight, relax in a sauna in the evening, and take a swim in the Dnipro or Desenka rivers.
